Advantages and Uses for 3D Graphics and Animations:

Advertisement:

  • Increase the visual identity of your company logo / company name.
  • Product / logo are easily remembered by a greater majority of the public.
  • Product properties and functions can be easily demonstrated with greater understanding than a paragraph of text.

Architecture:

  • Architectural Visualization - your building project can be rendered as a 3D scene. This scene can then be used to simulate different lighting scenarios, day and night, to seasonal changes on your interior design. Using this method, the architect can discover potential design flaws or refine energy-saving light-capturing advantages. As customer, you would be able to visualize your completed project before the first stone has been placed.
  • Take a virtual tour of your project. As described above, a rendered scene can also be created that operates as virtual tour. You or your customer would be able to walk into your project adding lighting, vegetation, furniture, wall coloring, floor tiling and textures.

Illustration:

  • A 3-Dimensional Logo or "vector graphic" has a greater "remembrance effect" and can be designed to appear more realistic than a flat 2-3 color illustration. The resolution independent vector graphic can be used for print or media smaller than a postage stamp or larger than the side of a building.
  • Using a vector illustration also has its software advantages. You may import, position and resize the same illustration into popular programs such as: Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Media Player, AVI Payers, QuarkXpress, Microsoft Office products and many others.

Internet:

  • Display your product as a 3D object. Let your customer rotate, zoom-in and view your product from all angles direct from a standard internet page.
  • Using short animations and instructional videos grab your customers attention giving your internet site a greater chance for:
    • repeat visit
    • a sale of one or more of your products
    • registration for paid information

Production:

  • A simulation can be used to test the usability and functionality of your product:
    • reducing development time
    • reducing development costs

With a 3D object or animation you gain a better insight of your products market potential in advance of introduction.

Increased productivity through CAD (computer aided design), as improvements and changes can be done faster and more efficiently.

Examples of all these methods will appear here shortly.
